Undoubtedly it’s a hell of a hard decision to quit your good job, with no plan for what comes next, just for a bit of adventure and the admittedly overwhelming feeling of freedom?
But is it, as some travel guides claim, the hardest part of the journey? Decision made and just go?
Well, there is still an uncomfortable period of time between the decision and the departure, subletting the flat, pension insurance, health insurance, budget planning. What the hell am I taking with me? Where do you want to go?
The weeks before the departure also provide a breeding ground for doubts of all kinds. Am I doing the right thing? Isn’t that too decadent? What am I giving up?
As always in life, only afterwards will the answer to some of these questions be found. In any case, it is certain that we have an exciting time ahead of us!
That’s why it’s best to stay calm and have a beer for breakfast (first day of unemployment)
Make sure to be serious again for passport and visa photos.
